拱荣华教授简介

Hugh Gong is Reader in the Department of Materials, University of Manchester. His main current research interests are in the modelling and prediction of fabric and yarn performances, and manufacturing technologies for yarns, nonwovens, nano-fibres and textile composites. He has supervised more than 30 PhD students. He has published more than 100 academic journal papers on fabric performance prediction, fabric care, textile composites, nonwovens, and nanofibre structures. He is author of the book Fancy Yarns: Manufacture and Applications and editor of the book Specialist Yarn and Fabric Structures: Developments and Applications. He has held visiting professorships in several universities and served as external examiner for many universities around the world. He is reviewer for over 30 international academic journals and several government research councils in the UK, Europe and Canada, and an Advisor for the Commonwealth Scholarship Commission.
