On the first day of summer school, students are enthusiastic about their studies, and everyone is eager to participate in the course. In the morning, professor Nanliang Chen from Donghua University and professor Martin W. King from North Carolina State University in the United States brought wonderful lectures.

At the beginning of the class, professor Chen encouraged everyone to do scientific research in a careful and down-to-earth manner, and made sophisticated and in-depth scientific research work. After that, professor Chen introduced the metallic warp-knitting mesh production, key technology and research of industrialization of large space deployable flexible antenna, it revolved around four innovations: preparation of very fine wire with high modulus and low stretch and its lines joint technology, metallic mesh weaving process and equipment for key technology, flexible antenna metallic mesh structure design theory, network microstructure and mechanical properties simulation and antenna precision control, he introduced the development of two large deployable warp-knitting space antenna detailedly. In the process of domestication of flexible antenna key product, it is a landmark and lays a solid foundation as domestic metallic mesh in-orbit application smoothly.

With a friendly Hello everyone, Professor Martin W. King started his wonderful report. During the class, he gave a brief explanation of what the medical textiles are and the uses of the medical textiles, so that the students could have a new understanding of the field of medical textiles. Later, Professor Martin W. King introduced the functional applications of medical textiles from three levels, and gave examples to students. This lecture not only broadened our knowledge, but also made us feel the infinite possibilities hidden behind the textile materials.

In the afternoon, Professor Yingjiao Xu enthusiastically interacted with the students. The professor first introduced his personal situation, interests and research areas, then gave a brief introduction to North Carolina State University. Afterwards, the students introduced each other and deepened their understanding. Students from various schools came to the stage to communicate with the professors in fluent English, and they wiped out an ideological spark in a collision. After a good discussion, Professor Xu began to explain the definition and the content of the consumer behavior.

In the second section of the afternoon, Professor Tushar K. Ghosh introduced himself to the students, and then gave a brief introduction to the North Carolina State University and the textile institute. Subsequently, Professor Ghosh extended from the concept of textiles to industrial textiles, and introduced the functional requirements and classification of industrial textiles, as well as the unique uses of textiles in aerospace, oil drilling and other fields.
