On the fifth day of the summer school, unconsciously, the course has passed halfway, and the students still maintain a high academic enthusiasm and a serious learning attitude. Today, Professor Jinsong SHEN from De Montfort University in the United Kingdom, Professor Hao Fong from South Dakota, Professor Martin W. King and Professor Tushar K. Ghosh from North Carolina State University and students went to an academic invitation to roam in the magical textile world.

In the morning, Professor Jinsong SHEN brought us the third lesson  the application of enzymes in textile biotechnology. The professor introduced the advantages, uses, classification and processing of the enzyme. Afterwards, the professor explained the process of cellulase treatment of cotton fiber, protease treatment of wool and silk fiber, and the application of laccase in wool and nylon. The students were also very interested in the content of the professor's speech and asked some questions. After class, the students are still eager to ask questions around the professor.

Professor Hao Fong started the third lecture, he introduced the preparation process of electrospun nanofibers firstly, and analyzed the shortcomings of the current preparation device. After that, he explained the characteristics of polymer nanofibers, and introduced the orientation of nylon 6 fibers. Prof. Martin W.King walked into the classroom with amiableness, explaining the development of tissue engineering and the support of woven, knitted and woven structures, and introducing the warp knitting technique for the production of space fabrics. After comparison of several groups of experiments, it was proved that the functional textile scaffold could make the cell adhesion, increment and migration better, and summarized several directions of the textile scaffold in the research of tissue engineering.

Professor Tushar K.Ghosh brought us the last lesson. First, he explained the ideal performance of the tire cord, and began to compare the performance of the three cord lines of nylon, rayon, and polyester. Then the course went into the last chapter - architectural textiles, which introduced its advantages and disadvantages and the design principles of several structures. Finally, the final test was completed and the course was successfully completed.
