In the morning, professors Jinsong SHEN of De Montford University in the United Kingdom and Hao Fong of South Dakota College of Mineral Technology in the United States gave lectures to students.

Professor SHEN brought the students amazing sol-gel technology. The gel process has many functions, which can improve the hydrophobicity, uv resistance, abrasion resistance and antibacterial property of knitted cotton fabric, and keep the fabric soft. The combination of enzyme and sol-gel technology in wool can improve the anti-shrinkage property of wool fabric and weave light and soft wool fabric. This new technology aroused students' great interest and questions.

Professor Hao Fong has given a passionate lecture. First of all, he introduced the development, technology and existing problems of electrospun carbon nanofibers. Then, he introduced a variety of applications of electrospun nanofibers, with the development of nanotechnology, electrospun nanofibers is playing a great role in composite materials, high performance dental composite materials, biomedical materials, filtration and protective, areas such as catalysis, biology and tissue engineering.

This afternoon Kun Fu, assistant professor of Delaware University in the United States, and Frank Ko, professor of Columbia University in Canada, brought wonderful courses to the students.

The assistant professor Kun Fu introduced his overseas study experience and research field to the students. The new technology of high performance nano - ceramic - based flexible solid electrolyte composite, functional fabric design, 3D printing soft battery and carbon fiber interconnection were introduced. In addition, he also mentioned super wood, wood stronger than steel, blackbody radiation formula, infrared camera, etc, which refreshed everyone, increased the interest of students and made classroom atmosphere active. Finally, he encouraged everyone: just do it if you want. Assistant professor Kun Fu who is young, promising and fruitful has set a good example to us.

Professor Frank Ko mainly introduced the application, unique properties and development trend of textile structural composite materials. Textile structural composite materials can be made into various shaped parts with high damage tolerance, and have been well used in aerospace, automobile industry, heat exchange equipment and other fields. In the future, textile structural composite material is developing into intelligent material and digital manufacturing technology, having a broader space for application.
