On July 11, 2019, the 2019 Shanghai InternationalTextile Graduate Summer Schoolmet the eighth day in the enthusiasm of students. Today, Professor Tushar K.Ghosh and Professor Martin W. King from North Carolina State University and ProfessorShakhrukh Madjidov from Changshu Institute of Technology gave lectures onmedical textile materials, industrial textiles and textile market research.

In the morning, Professor Tushar K. Ghosh focused on theperformance of tire cords. He introduced the influence of various textilematerials and different tire structures on tire performance from simple todeep, and explained the application of textile materials in production and dailylife in detail by using the diagram with a distinct structure.

         Later, Professor Shakhrukh Madjidovpointed out that China is the world's largest garment exporter and will stilldominate the market in the next few years by citing official big data from2017-2018. China's automated textile technology that he displayed in the class attractedthe attention of students. It showed the intelligent factory that combines new technologywith the traditional textile industry.

         In the afternoon, Professor Martin W.King started his course on biomedical textile materials for the students. Heinspired the interests of the students with the characteristics of many interestingcreatures, and introduced the various applications of bionics in biomedicaltextile materials. In addition, the development process of emerging biomedicaltextile products was also introduced, including polymer synthesis, devicepreparation, animal experiments and post-modification.

Then, Professor Tushar K. Ghosh continued the lecture in themorning, focusing on the mechanism of the geotextile in various forms offiltering structure by using a structure diagram. And he introduced theimportant position of industrial textiles in the construction industry indetail, which aroused great interest among the students. At the end of the course,a simple course examination was conducted to help students to master theknowledge.
