Professor WANG Xungai

Bio

Professor Wang is an Alfred Deakin Professor and Pro Vice-Chancellor (Future Fibres) at Deakin University and an Adjunct Professor at Wuhan Textile University. Professor Wang holds a PhD in Fibre Science and Technology and a Graduate Diploma in Higher Education from the University of New South Wales. In 2005, he was awarded the US Fiber Society Distinguished Achievement Award. He served as President of the Fiber Society in 2015. He also served as the Chair for the Fiber Society Spring Conference in 2013, the Textile Institute World Conference in 2014, and the Asian Textile Conference in 2015. At the beginning of 2019, he took over the role as the editor-in-chief for the Journal of the Textile Institute, the oldest journal in the textile field.
