On the second day of summer school on July 7, 2020, Professor Martin W. King from North Carolina State University, Professor Duan Bin from The University of Nebraska, Professor Yu Chongwen from Donghua University and Professor Gong Ronghua from The University of Manchester gave lectures to the students, leading them to understand the charm of textile.

In the morning, Professor Martin W.King followed up yesterday's lecture with a wonderful second lesson. In class, Professor Martin W.King continued to introduce medical textiles to students, and illustrated the types and specific uses of medical textiles, including health care, comfort, surgery and implantation, and growth of new tissues and organs. Professor Martin W.King's gracious teaching methods have won over students. Professor Duan first introduced the medical center where he works, and then introduced the contents related to medical 3D printing. Some news and videos were combined to introduce the progress of 3D bio-printing, working performance, material selection, textile application and other aspects. The teaching content was novel. The students listened with great interests and were very interested in the content.

In the afternoon, Professor Yu Chongwen carried out the research on the simulation of the fiber arrangement in the yarn and the effect on the yarn properties. The causes of yarn unevenness in spinning process is derived from yarn quality evaluation, and the random distribution model of fiber is designed to solve the problem. Then Professor Gong Ronghua taught the students about the serviceability of textile and garment materials, mainly introduced the physical characteristics, aesthetic requirements and subjective and objective evaluation of textile and garment performance of textile and garment materials. And the style of textile clothing materials for specific extension. 

Through a day of learning, the students are very enthusiastic about learning. Faced with the teacher's questions, the students enthusiastically spoke up. The novel content of the lecture has aroused everyone's interest in learning. Hope everyone can have something to think about, acquire useful knowledge, have made some progress through this limited time.
