On July 15, we had the last day of summer school. Professor Xu Bugao from the University of Texas at Austin, Professor Yu Chongwen from Donghua University and Professor Roohollah from Amirkabir University of Technology brought us remarkable academic reports.

Professor XU Bugao brought the knowledge about customized clothing. From the two perspectives of standardization and personalization, Professor XU shared the theoretical knowledge of body scanning systems and personalized clothes manufacturing. His detailed interpretation and analysis let students have a brand new understanding of customized clothing.

Professor Yu Chongwen first guided students to review the content they learned yesterday, mainly focused on fiber arrangement in the sliver or yarn. Then Professor YU gave a thorough explanation of fiber configuration and its effect on yarn evenness.

Professor Roohollah gave the lecture on the topic of “Advanced Fibrous Materials”. He introduced various smart textiles in the aspects of principles, properties and applications. Through frequently raising questions, Professor Roohollah encouraged students to think and speak actively, creating a dynamic learning atmosphere.

At this point, the online lectures of the 2021 Shanghai International Textile Graduate Summer School have come to an end.
