On July 5, Professor Martin W. King from North Carolina University, Professor Yingjiao Xu from North Carolina University, Professor Roohollah Bagherzadeh from Amirkabir University of Technology, and Professor Xuyuan Tao from École Nationale Supérieure des Arts et Industries Textiles gave an excellent academic report.
With the theme of "The Market and Application of Medical Textiles in the world", Professor Martin W. King first introduced what medical textiles are from the uses and functions of medical textiles. Then the professor illustrated the wide application of medical textiles in various scenarios and showed the broad application market and development potential of medical textiles. He pointed out that medical textile will gradually mature in the future, there are unprecedented opportunities and challenges in the world medical textile market and application.
Professor Yingjiao Xu took "Consumption Behavior and textile Industry" as the theme and analyzed the consumption behavior in the textile industry. Starting with consumer behavior and combining with textile industry, professor comprehensively introduces the characteristics, influencing factors and its influence on textile industry of consumer behavior. The textile industry is to a large extent consumption-oriented, and still maintains a great volume and competitiveness in domestic and foreign trade consumption. In the process of product research and design of textile industry, innovation research can be carried out based on consumer demand.
Professor Roohollah Bagherzadeh took the second lecture on Advanced Fiber Materials, "Intelligent Textile Fiber Materials Engineering". As a new product of textile industry, intelligent textile has shown abundant possibilities and full potential in recent years. Intelligent fiber material is the important foundation of forming intelligent textiles, can through the selection and modification of materials and structure design, to implement the intelligent of the fiber materials in recent years, with the development of some cutting-edge technology and application, the development of intelligent fibers has been developing rapidly, and has given rise to the emergence of a series of new intelligent textiles, to meet the specific needs of people.
Professor Xuyuan Tao gave the lecture on "Intelligent Textiles and its Application". On the basis of the last lecture, the professor further introduced the application of shape memory alloy, hydrogel, super absorbent polymer, negative Poisson's ratio, shock absorbing material, piezoelectric material and so on in intelligent textiles. The professor interspersed a large number of pictures and videos in the teaching process, vividly depicted the colorful intelligent textiles to the students, which greatly broadened the students' vision and broadened their research ideas.
