July 7, Professor Sun Gang from University of California, Davis, Professor QIN Xiaohong ,ZHONG Yueqi and ZHANG Xueping from Donghua University made excellent presentations.

Professor SUN Gang, on the topic of “Bio-personal protection”, introduced what bio-protection means and the importance of bio-protection. Taking Staphylococcus Aureus and covid-19 as examples, he explained the severity of virus infection, he then introduced the types and uses of protective gear such as protective clothing and face masks, as well as the materials used for biological protection and their performance and evaluation criteria.

Professor QIN Xiaohong introduced the history of Donghua University and college of textiles，special projects and laboratories, as well as various platforms, Donghua University, which ranks first in the world and has won many national awards, is more focused on cultivating talent, international exchanges and cooperation, and can provide a better platform for talent.

Professor ZHONG Yueqi mainly explained the principle of artificial intelligence technology and its application in the textile industry, the principle of meta-universe technology and its application in the textile and garment industry, and the digital wave and the textile industry, he pointed out that to combine theory and practice, constantly innovative content, and through a number of small video-assisted way to explain, greatly inspired students interested in artificial intelligence textile clothing.

Researcher ZHANG Xueping mainly explained the knowledge of textile and space, functional clothing and so on, and shared the new materials at the cutting edge, after explaining its performance, she pointed out that it was necessary to combine the experience of textiles with new technology to develop new products.
