On June 30, Professor Xu Yingjiao and Professor Martin W.King from North Carolina State University, Professor Fu Kun from University of Delaware and Professor Shen Jinsong from De Montfort University gave excellent academic presentations.

Professor Xu Yingjiao introduced the relevant content of "Consumer behavior and market analysis related to textile and fashion industry", and she went into depth step by step to fully introduce the textile industry consumer market analysis process: From the consumer group of textile products, consumer demand, consumer behavior, how to meet consumer behavior to maintain consumption vitality, and how to guide consumer behavior through public market policies. The influence of consumer behavior on fashion retail innovation is explained. She pointed out that consumer demand is the starting point in the research and design process of textile industry products and the guidance of innovation breakthroughs. At present, the textile industry still maintains a great volume and competitiveness in domestic and foreign trade and consumption.

Martin W.King's theme, "The Challenges and Rewards of Graduate Study," was introduced from "What is a Master's Degree and what is a doctorate?" This paper introduces the ability of writing and oral expression, the ability of literature review, and the ability of communication in academic conferences. The method of scientific research is explained systematically, including theory, hypothesis, data observation and analysis, and conclusion. Combined with textile science and engineering innovation research examples, the paper analyzes how to carry out effective scientific research and why to carry out scientific research. He pointed out that postgraduate study needs to deal with many challenges, and scientific rigorous research attitude is the basic quality of scientific research work.

Fu Kun gave a detailed introduction on "3D forming printing technology method" and guided students to think about the relationship between "3D printing" technology and textile in combination with examples. The application of "3D printing" was discussed, and the students were guided to use "3D printing" technology to find ways to solve their own problems, so as to apply what they have learned. His simple introduction stimulated the students' understanding and thinking of new technology, further understood the transformation of technology and application, and provided them with more solutions and ideas to solve problems.

With the theme "Innovative Technology - Function and Sustainability of Textiles", Shen Jinsong showcased the development of new technologies for sustainable textiles, including digital inkjet printing, foam finishing, plasma surface treatment, reusable and recycled materials, and biodegradable materials. The principle of plasma and laser technology and its application in textile design were introduced, and the advantages and importance of sustainable textiles in energy saving, cleaning and environmental protection were emphasized. At present, the global textile consumption is huge, but the recovery rate is very low, research and exploration of sustainable clean textile technology is an important way to reduce environmental pressure and achieve low carbon and sustainable development.
