On July 5, Professor Xu Bugao from the University of North Texas, Professor Roohollah Bagherzadeh from Amil Kabir University of Technology and Professor Gong Ronghua from the University of Manchester gave an excellent academic presentation.

Xu Bugao, with the theme of "Digital Technology in textiles", introduced various textile fiber and textile analysis systems, including fiber microscopic image analysis system (fiber cross section analysis, fiber image fusion, fiber length measurement of double beard method, etc.) and fabric appearance performance objective evaluation system (fabric appearance 3D imaging system, multi-scale matching scheme, etc.). In the second half of the course, he introduced the performance requirements of clothing customization, and showed the students the specific process of clothing customization technology, clothing visualization system, three methods of body scanning technology and related testing instruments. Advanced digital technology enables modeling, analysis and planning based on the specific conditions of the human body.

Under the theme "Gas Sensor Technology", Roohollah Bagherzadeh introduces five common gas sensor detection technologies that are capable of detecting combustible, flammable and toxic gases from the field of application of gas sensors. The sensor needs to have high selectivity, high sensitivity, high stability and other properties, and the sensor prepared according to different principles and different structures can achieve different functional sensing performance. He interacts with the students in a cordial way, presenting the difficult and obscure knowledge to everyone in a simple and understandable way.

With the theme of "Performance Evaluation of textiles and clothing", Gong Ronghua introduced the objective evaluation methods and subjective evaluation methods of fabric wearability, including washable wearability, wear resistance, pilling, bending properties, fabric feel, fabric style, etc. The potential defects, problems to be solved and matters needing attention in the experiment are analyzed. Students completed the online test at the end of the course.
