On July 8, Professor Kun Fu from University of Delaware and Professor Ningtao Mao from University of Leeds gave a wonderful academic presentation, and the students visited the University History Hall & University Science and Technology Hall.
Prof. Fu continued his lecture on "Introduction to Additive Manufacturing (AM): Materials, Processes and Applications", further introduced the principles and classifications of AM technology, and the characteristics of each type of technology. Through Prof. Fu's lecture, the students were able to learn more about AM technology and how it can be applied to their products. Through continuous technological innovation and material research and development, AM technology will continue to promote the manufacturing industry to the direction of high efficiency, flexibility and intelligence.
Prof. Ningtao Mao introduced the application of functional textiles in various industries with the theme of "Engineering Design of Textile Technology Products". Prof. Mao introduced the definition and classification of functional textiles, applications in various industries, market analysis, engineering design in the process of new product development, performance requirements, etc., so that students have a more comprehensive understanding of functional textiles.
The students visited the University History Hall & University Science and Technology Hall, where students understanded the long history and brilliant achievements of Donghua University. The History Hall shows the history of Donghua University from its foundation to its development and growth, and introduces the university's scientific research achievements and important contributions in the field of textiles. The University Science and Technology Hall displays the latest scientific and technological achievements, such as aerospace textiles and biomedical textiles, etc. Each exhibit highlights the excellent strength of Donghua University in scientific and technological innovation. Through this visit, students experienced the sense of honor and mission as a textile student.
