On July 10, Prof. Bugao Xu from the University of North Texas, Prof. Roohollah Bagherzadeh from Amirkabir University of Technology, and Prof. Xuyuan Tao from Ecole Nationale Supérieure d'Ingénieurs des Textiles (ENSIT), France, gave the wonderful academic presentations.

Under the title of "AI in Digital Marketing", Prof. Bugao Xu shared a variety of AI technologies such as CRM application, IBM Watson assistant, robots that was used for logistics transportation and delivery, and Amazon GO, a software that could be used for payment services. He also introduced the future development prospects for digital retail networks, where information retrieval systems could be employed to obtain data and process it into structured data for high value-added utilization. The development of AI technology has greatly improved human efficiency and provided new ideas for convenient marketing in the textile field.

Roohollah Bagherzadeh, under the theme of "Advanced Fiber Materials," demonstrated the value of advanced textile fiber materials, including nanofiber core/sheath suture yarn for targeted drug delivery, smart textiles and visualization systems for monitoring infant behavioral activities, and the construction of energy harvesting devices to achieve the energy utilization and reduce resource consumption.

With the theme of "Smart Textiles and Their Applications", Prof. Tao Xubuan illustrated the characteristics and application scenarios of different smart materials, including Shape Memory Polymers (SMP), Hydrogels, Super Absorbent Polymers (SAP), Piezoelectric Polymers, and Conductive Packing (CPC), etc., and introduced related textile technologies and principles such as microencapsulation technology, photoluminescence, and so on. Many smart textiles are inspired by nature, and bionics plays an important role in textile design. The combination and application of electronics and smart textiles are introduced in depth, including the selection of electronic devices and the way of combining electronic devices with textiles. Through videos and pictures, the relevant applications of smart textiles are visualized, leading the participants to feel the advantages of smart textiles intuitively.
